How to use Chime Scheduler

Write it with AI. Say when. It's posted. Setup takes about a minute.

Set up in Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Chime Scheduler and paste this address:
    https://schedule.getchime.co/mcp
  3. Click Add, then Connect, and sign in with LinkedIn. Check that the time zone shown is yours.
  4. In a chat, make sure Chime Scheduler is switched on in the tools menu, then ask Claude to schedule a post.

Works in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code. Connectors you add on Claude.ai also show up in Claude Desktop.

In Claude Code you can also run claude mcp add --transport http chime-scheduler https://schedule.getchime.co/mcp, then sign in from /mcp.

Set up in ChatGPT Coming soon

ChatGPT support is on the way. It uses the same address and the same LinkedIn sign-in, and everything in What to say works the same way. We’ll publish the exact steps here when it launches.

What to say

Write the post with your AI assistant as usual, then say when. These work in any AI assistant that has Chime Scheduler.

Say thisWhat happens
“Schedule this for Tuesday at 9am.”Scheduled in your time zone. The reply confirms the exact time.
“Post this now.”Text and link posts go live right away. Posts with images or video go out within a minute or two. Ask how it went to get the link.
“Add the link as a first comment.”The comment goes up about 5 seconds after the post.
“Save this as a draft.”Saved, not scheduled. Ask to schedule it later.
“What do I have scheduled?”A short table of scheduled posts and drafts, plus anything that needs attention.
“Move tomorrow’s post to Friday at 8am.”Rescheduled. Ask for a different time zone on any post.
“Cancel my Thursday post.”Cancelled. Nothing goes out.
“Am I connected?”Your LinkedIn login, time zone, and how many days the login has left.

Posts can be up to 3,000 characters, with links, images, several images, or one video. Times are always shown back in your time zone.

Images and video

  1. Say “give me an upload link”. Your AI assistant replies with a private link.
  2. Open it and drop up to 9 images (8 MB each) or one MP4 video (up to 50 MB).
  3. Back in the chat, say “use my last upload”. You’ll see the file name before anything is scheduled.

Each upload link works once; ask for a new one any time. Files are deleted 7 days after the post goes out, or after 30 days if it never does. PDF carousels and company pages are not supported yet.

Your posts page

Your posts shows everything you scheduled, in one place. Sign in with LinkedIn; you stay signed in on that browser for 30 days. Every alert email button opens it on the post in question.

  • Needs attention: posts that weren’t posted or are on hold. Each one says why and offers the fix: Reconnect, Reschedule, Post now or Cancel post.
  • Scheduled and Drafts: what’s coming up and what isn’t scheduled yet.
  • Posted: what’s live on LinkedIn, with a View link.

Post now waits 5 seconds so you can undo it. To change the text of a post, ask your AI assistant.

Reconnecting every 60 days

LinkedIn logins last 60 days. If you have posts scheduled after yours runs out, we email you about 5 days before.

To reconnect, click Reconnect on Your posts, say “reconnect Chime Scheduler” in your chat and follow the link, or click Connect again in your connector settings.

If your login runs out, nothing posts until you reconnect, and we email you. After you reconnect, posts scheduled for later go out as planned. Posts that missed their time while the login was expired stay on hold until you choose for each one: post now, reschedule or cancel.

If a post isn’t posted

“Not posted”

Your AI assistant tells you why in the chat, and we send one email. The post is saved: fix the problem (for example, shorten the text or reconnect) and say “post it now” or give a new time.

“On hold”

A post goes on hold when it can’t go out yet: your login expired, video posts are switched off for now, or the account reached 25 posts that day (the Chime Scheduler daily limit). It waits on Your posts until you post it, reschedule it or cancel it.

“LinkedIn didn’t confirm this one”

Sometimes LinkedIn doesn’t answer in time. We count the post as posted and never retry it, so you won’t get a duplicate. It shows under Posted with this note. If it isn’t on your profile, choose Post again from the ⋯ menu on Your posts, or ask your AI assistant to post it again.

Your assistant doesn’t use the connector

  • Check that Chime Scheduler is switched on for this chat in the tools menu.
  • Mention it by name: “Use Chime Scheduler to post this Tuesday at 9am.”
  • Still nothing? Say “am I connected?”. If the login has run out, follow the reconnect link.

Lost a device or signed in somewhere you shouldn’t?

Sign out everywhere ends your Your posts sign-in on every browser and device, this one included. Your scheduled posts still go out, and your AI assistant stays connected. To disconnect it too, remove the connector in its settings.

Common questions

Is Chime Scheduler free?

Yes. It is free to use, and made by Chime, which shows B2B teams what their buyers read on LinkedIn.

Does it read my LinkedIn feed, messages or connections?

No. It only publishes the posts and first comments you ask for, at the time you set.

Does it work with ChatGPT?

Not yet. ChatGPT support is coming soon, with the same LinkedIn sign-in. Today it works in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code.

If I remove the connector, are my scheduled posts cancelled?

No. Removing the connector does not cancel posts that are already scheduled. Ask your AI assistant to cancel them first.

How do I delete my data?

Email support@getchime.co from the email address on your LinkedIn account. We cancel your scheduled posts, delete your files and remove your account, and reply to confirm.

Didn’t find it? Email support@getchime.co and a person replies.
