What Chime Scheduler stores, why, and for how long.

Last updated 18 October 2026

What we store

Chime Scheduler is run by Wednesday Solutions, the company behind Chime.

  • Your LinkedIn basics from “Sign in with LinkedIn”: name, email address, profile photo link and LinkedIn member ID. We use them to identify your account and to email you about your posts.
  • Your LinkedIn access token, encrypted. It lets us publish the posts you schedule. It is never shown to anyone, including your AI assistant.
  • Your posts: text, first comment, scheduled time, time zone and status, plus the images and videos you upload for them.
  • Connected apps: which AI assistants you connected (like Claude, and ChatGPT when it launches), with their access tokens stored only as one-way hashes.
  • Emails we sent you, so we never send the same one twice.

We don’t read your LinkedIn feed, messages or connections, and we only publish what you ask us to.

How long we keep it

  • Images and videos: deleted 7 days after the post is published or cancelled, or after 30 days if it never goes out.
  • Your LinkedIn login: lasts 60 days. After that we can’t publish until you reconnect.
  • Your account, encrypted token and post history: kept so you can see what you scheduled, until you ask us to delete them.

Emails we send

Only four kinds, all about your own posts:

  1. A post wasn’t posted at its time.
  2. A video post is on hold.
  3. Your LinkedIn login expires soon and you have posts scheduled after it.
  4. Your LinkedIn login expired and posts are on hold.

No newsletters. Each alert ends with a short note about Chime, with a link to sign up.

We see whether alerts are opened and which links are clicked.

Cookies

When you sign in to Your posts on this site, we set one cookie, sched_session, on schedule.getchime.co only. It keeps you signed in on this browser for 30 days and holds a signed reference to your Chime Scheduler account, nothing else. Signing out removes it, and signing out everywhere ends it on every browser.

While you sign in with LinkedIn we also keep a short-lived cookie (15 minutes) that remembers where to send you back.

We also use analytics cookies, never for advertising.

Analytics

We use analytics, including session recordings, to improve Chime Scheduler. We never record the text of your posts or your chat, and nothing is added to what your AI assistant sees.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We use service providers to run Chime Scheduler: hosting, database and file storage, email delivery and analytics. Your posts go to LinkedIn, because that’s where you asked us to publish them.

Stopping

You can stop at any time, and withdraw the access you gave us:

  1. Ask your AI assistant to cancel any scheduled posts. Removing the connector alone does not cancel them.
  2. Remove Chime Scheduler from your AI assistant’s connectors.
  3. On LinkedIn, open Settings, then Data privacy, then Permitted services, and remove Chime Scheduler. We can no longer post for you.

Stopping does not delete what we hold. To have it deleted, see below.

Deleting your data

Email support@getchime.co from the email address on your LinkedIn account and ask us to delete your data. If you write from another address, we’ll ask you to confirm the account is yours.

We then cancel your scheduled posts, sign you out of every connected AI assistant, delete your uploaded files, your encrypted LinkedIn token, your post history, your analytics data and your account, and reply to confirm.

Posts already published on LinkedIn stay there; delete them on LinkedIn if you want them gone.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we update it here and change the date at the top. For anything about your data, email support@getchime.co.
